Things are getting spicy this weekend in New Iberia as the Sugarena welcomes the 2014 Cajun Hot Sauce Festival.

The festival is this Friday, April 11th through Sunday, April 13th and will be filled with some of the hottest entertainment, great food, a carnival and some of the best hot sauces in the world.

There will be a Hot Sauce Competition featuring the following categories: Best Green Sauce, Best Hot Sauce, Best Habanero, Best Specialty, Best Red Sauce, and People's Choice.

Plus, there will be a jambalaya cook-off on Sunday as part of Zydeco Day at the festival.

Friday, April 11

Sunday, April 13

11:30am-1:00pm -- Chubby Carriere & The Bayou Swamp Band
1:30pm-3:30pm -- Lil Wayne & Same Ole Two Step
3:30pm -- Jambalaya Cook-Off Winners Named

General admission charges apply. Friday and Saturday it's a $10 gate fee and Sunday it's only $5. Children 12 & under are free.
