Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun baseball team used a nine-run ninth inning to help them capture a 15-10 come-from behind win over the UALR Trojans on Sunday, in Little Rock, Arkansas, in the rubber game of a three-game weekend, Sun Belt Conference series.

UALR scored first, plating three runs in the bottom half of the second inning off Louisiana starter Cody Boutte, with two runs coming home on a Bryson Thionnet double, helping the Trojans jump out on top, 3-0.

Louisiana grabbed the lead in the top half of the third inning, as Chase Compton led off the inning with a solo home run off of UALR starter Chad Bradford, setting up the Cajuns' four run, four hit inning, to make it 4-3.

The Cajuns added another run in the top half of the fourth inning, as Dex Kjerstad doubled home Blake Trahan, to extend the UL lead to 5-3.

The Trojans came back with six unanswered runs, however, scoring one in the fourth, two in the fifth, and three in the sixth, giving them a 9-5 lead.

Louisiana got one run closer in the top of the eight inning, when Seth Harrison singled up the middle, bringing home Tyler Girouard, to cut the UALR lead to 9-6.

That set the stage for the nine-run, ten-hit UL ninth inning, where the Cajuns got hits from seven different players, including two hits in the frame from Kjerstad and Jace Conrad, to make the score 15-9, Louisiana.

The Trojans picked up another run in the home half of the ninth, but it was far too little, as the Cajuns left Little Rock with the five-run victory, and the series win.

Kjerstad led Louisiana at the plate, going 5-for-6, with three doubles, three runs scored, and two RBI's, while Conrad went 3-for-6, with three runs scored, two RBI's, and a stolen base.

Kendall Mayer (1-0) got the win in relief for UL, while Dillon Moritz (1-2) suffered the loss for UALR.

With the win, the Cajuns improved to 24-11, overall, and 8-7 in Sun Belt Conference play, while the Trojans fell to 16-18, overall, and 5-10 in league play.
