After another solid weekend on the diamond, sweeping ULM at home, Louisiana still owns the best record in the NCAA (49-7). They also still rank as the second to best team in the Nation in 4 of the 5 major college baseball polls.

The Cajuns, who have ranked as high as #1 this season, move up one spot to #2 in the latest Collegiate Baseball, NCBWA (National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association), Baseball America, and USA Today/Coaches poll. They actually moved back one spot to #3 in the Perfect Game poll.

Louisiana enters the Sun Belt Conference tournament this week, looking for thier first tournament championship since 1998.

As the one seed, the Cajuns will play ULM. Coming off a sweep of the Warhawks last weekend, along with an early season sweep in Monroe, the Cajuns are quite familiar with ULM.

"It's hard to beat a team 7 times in a row," said head coach Tony Robichaux of their Wednesday game with the Warhawks.

First pitch from Eddie Stanky Field in Mobile, Alabama is set for Wednesday at 12:30. Jay Walker has the pre-game at noon. Catch all the action on ESPN1420 and espn1420.com. Win or lose the Cajuns will play Thursday. All games played Wednesday and Thursday will air on ESPN1420. Any and all Cajun baseball games played Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from the Sun Belt Conference tournament will air on NewsTalk 96.5 KPEL and kpel965.com.
