Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun football team returns to the gridiron on Saturday, when coach Mark Hudspeth’s squad plays host to the Arkansas St. Red Wolves in a Sun Belt Conference match-up.

The game, which will mark the sixth home game for UL, will also serve as their final home affair.

The Cajun Harley Davidson Tailgate show, begins at 9 am on ESPN 1420 and espn1420.com, with the rest of the network, including Hot 107.9 and 1079ishot.com, joining the broadcast at 10 am.

Kickoff time at Cajun Field is set for 11 am.

Louisiana leads the all-time series, 22-19, but Arkansas St. won last year, capturing a 37-27 victory over the Cajuns in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Louisiana fell to Georgia last week, 35-21, to drop them to 4-6, overall, while remaining  3-3 in Sun Belt Conference play.

Offensively, the Cajuns are averaging 23.2 points-per-game, to go along with 385.9 total yards, including 187.9 rushing yards, and 198.0 passing yards, while allowing 27.9 points, and 377.9 total yards, including 130.0 rushing yards, and 247.9 passing yards.

Louisiana is led by senior quarterback Anthony Jennings, who has completed 170-of-274 passes for 1,841 yards and nine touchdowns, and senior running back Elijah McGuire, who has rushed for 891 yards and six touchdowns.

Arkansas St., who beat Troy, 35-3, last week, has now won 6-straight, and will enter the match-up at 6-4, overall, and 6-0 in Sun Belt Conference play.

ASU lost their first four games of the season, all non-conference games, before winning 6-consecutive conference games.

Offensively, the Red Wolves are averaging 26.9 points-per-game, to go along with 382.0 total yards, including 144.9 rushing yards, and 237.1 passing yards a contest, while allowing 22.8 points, to go along with 396.5 total yards, including 168.5 rushing yards, and 228.0 passing yards.

Arkansas St. is paced by freshman quarterback Justice Hanson, who has completed 137-of-236 passes for 1,942 yards and 13 touchdowns, while rushing for another 462 yards and four scores, and junior running back Warren Wand, who has rushed for 697 yards and five touchdowns.

The Cajuns play their 2016 regular season finale next week, when they travel to Monroe, La., to take on the ULM Warhawks.
