Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns officially announced the addition of 5 JUCO transfers to the football team today.

Linebackers Brayden Bailey (St. George, Utah) and Ferrod Gardner (Dayton, Ohio), offensive lineman Kordell Brewster (San Bernardino, Calif.), defensive lineman Mustafa Mitchell (Newark, N.J.) and defensive back DJ Miller (Cedar Hill, Texas) are all grant-in-aid signees.

The 6'2, 215 Bailey, accumulated 57 tackles, 4 sacks and 1 interception last season at College of the Desert, earning 2nd team All-Conference honors in the process.

As a former Missouri walk-on two seasons ago, Gardner moved to Coffeyville Community College in Kansas in 2016, recording 67 tackles, 2 sacks, an interception, 3 fumble recoveries and a touchdown return.

Louisiana adds a two-year letterwiner at Chaffey College in California in the beefy, 6'2, 300 Brewster was an All-National Central selection last year as a freshmen.

Mitchell led Lackawanna College in tackles (19) for loss and sacks (11.5) last season, earning a spot on the All-Northeast Football Conference first-team.

Miller played at Navarro College in Texas last season as as sophomore. In 2015 as a freshmen, he played at Tennessee, appearing in 5 games after being a highly touted recruit out of high school in Texas.

Louisiana opens up the 2017 season at Cajun Field on September 2nd in a matchup with Southeastern. Kickoff is set for 6pm.
