Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun football team returns to the gridiron on Saturday evening, when coach Mark Hudspeth’s squad travels to Boise, Idaho to take on the Boise St. Broncos, in non-conference action at Alberston's Stadium.

The Cajun Harley Davidson Tailgate begins at 7:30 pm on ESPN 1420 and espn1420.com, with the rest of the network, including Hot 107.9 and 1079ishot.com joining the broadcast in time for the Hampton Toyota Pregame Show, which will begin at 8:30 pm.

Kickoff is set for 9:34 pm o’clock.

This will mark the first ever meeting between the two schools, with Boise St., a member of the Mountain West Conference, scheduled to appear at Cajun Field in 2016.

Louisiana, who fell to Ole Miss last week, 56-15, is 1-2 on the season, while Ole Miss, who defeated Connecticut, 38-21, last week, will come in with an overall record of 2-1.

Offensively, the Cajuns are averaging 26.7 points, 416.3 yards, 210.0 passing yards, and 206.3 rushing yards per game, while the Broncos are averaging 29.3 points, 455.7 total yards, 285.3 passing yards, and 170.3 rushing yards a contest.

Defensively, Louisiana is allowing 36.7 points, 455.3 total yards, 176.3 rushing yards, and 279.0 passing yards per game, while Boise St. is giving up an average of 26.7 points, 403.3 yards of total offense, 49.0 rushing yards, and 354.3 passing yards an outing.

The Cajuns are led by senior quarterback Terrance Broadway, who has thrown for 516 yards and four touchdowns, along with sophomore running back Elijah McGuire, who has 210 rushing yards and a touchdown, and freshman receiver Gabe Fuselier, who has eight catches for 72 yards and a touchdown.

The Broncos are paced by senior quarterback Grant Hedrick, who has thrown for 849 yards and five touchdowns, along with junior running back Jay Ajayi, who has 344 rushing yards and two touchdowns, and senior receiver Matt Miller, who has accumulated 309 receiving yards, including three touchdowns, on 19 catches.

The game concludes a two-game road trip for UL, who will be idle next week, before hosting Georgia St. in their Sun Belt Conference opener on Saturday, October 4.
