Cajuns Whoop Up On Tigers

We don't get to say this too often: UL BEATS LSU! In case you missed it, last night in Baton Rouge at Alex Box Stadium the Cajuns baseball team knocked off the #11th ranked LSU Tigers 11-5.

Greg Fontenot led the Cajuns' offensive charge going 4-for-6 with three runs scored and two RBI. It was his second four-hit game of the season (March 1 vs. Southern). Alex Fuselier, Mike Petello and Lance Marvel also had multi-hit games for UL whose 15 hits off of LSU were tied for the most allowed by the Tigers this season.

The Cajuns next travel to Jonesboro, Arkansas as they take on Sun Belt foe Arkansas State this weekend in a 3-game series. LSU meanwhile heads to Athens, Georgia to tangle with the Georgia Bulldogs as they look for their first SEC victory of the young season. Get a recap of the big win here.
