New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan will finish 2016 in the top ten in franchise history in career sacks.

A first-round draft choice out of California by the Saints in 2011, Jordan has 7.5 sacks this season, as the Saints prepare for their 2016 season finale on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.

That number gives the 27-year old Jordan 46.5 career sacks, which ranks 8th on the Saints' all-time list.

Rickey Jackson, a Pro Football Hall of Fame member, who played for the Saints from 1981-1993, ranks first, with 115 sacks.

Following Jackson, Wayne Martin (82.5), Pat Swilling (76.5), Will Smith (67.5), Frank Warren (52.5), Joe Johnson (50.5), and LaRoi Glover (50) rank ahead of Jordan, who, barring injury, will leap into the top five following next season.

A two-time Pro Bowl selection (2013 & 2015), Jordan jumped into the top ten in club sacks this season, surpassing Jim Wilks (45.5), Darren Howard (44.5), Renaldo Turnbull (44.5), Charles Grant (41.5), and Bruce Clark (39.5).

A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jordan has accumulated at least 7.5 sacks for fve-consecutive seasons.

A six-year veteran, Jordan also has 38 solo tackles this season, three shy of his career-high, along with 17 tackles for a loss, which ranks in the top five in the NFL, 23 quarterback hits, which ranks in the top ten, and five batted passes.
