Cameron Fishing Festival Aug 1-3

The Cameron Lions Club will sponsor their annual Cameron Fishing Festival August 1-3 at Cameron Jetty Pavilion - 799 Davis Road, in Cameron. In addition to the great fishing, food, entertainment, and fun, it's all for a great cause - money raised goes back to community youth programs and organizations, like the Louisiana Lions Crippled Children's Camp in Leesville, the Louisiana Lions Eye Foundation in New Orleans, and the Cameron Lions Club Scholarship Program.

AUGUST 1ST- FRIDAY
12:01 AM Fishing Starts
6:00 AM Redfish Challenge begins
4:30 PM GATES OPEN
5:00 PM Weigh station closes
7:30 PM Ryan Foret & Foret Tradition
9:30 PM Junior Lacrosse

AUGUST 2ND – SATURDAY
9:00 AM GATES OPEN
(Early bird Entry $5 from 9 am-Noon)
11AM – 1:30 PM QUEENS PAGEANTS
2-4 PM Matt Castille and Jon Melancon
4:30 – 6 pm Geno Delafose & French Rockin’ Boogie
5:00 PM Weigh Station closes
6-7 PM LIVE AUCTION and QUEENS PRESENTED
7 – 9 PM Waters Edge
9-9:15 PM FIREWORKS OVER THE RIVER
9:30 – 12AM Steel Shot

NOON – 3 PM Fish weigh in continues
3 PM Weigh Station closes Awards Presented
