The Lafayette Art Association is holding a '6x6' fundraiser this Sunday, September 28, and all proceeds go towards this wonderful local organization!

Lafayette Farmers and Artisans Market will include the monthly Art Market at the Horse Farm on Saturday, September 20 from 8-1.

On August 9th, 2nd Saturday ArtWalk will turn into ArtStomp at Parc Sans Souci with grape-stomping, wine tasting and a pedestrian art festival!

The Zigler Art Museum in Jennings will hold Art Camp for kids aged 6-12 beginning Monday, July 21! Register your child for this fun camp today!

I've said it before...great artists just have a way of seeing things that I unfortunately just can't. It's a good thing they can, because we get to see incredible pieces if art like these, drawn with only ball point pens!

The Corridor des Arts Open Studio Tour and Arts Market will be held in St Landry and St Martin Parishes on Saturday and Sunday April 12th and 13th.

The good folks from the 2014 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival have just released the new poster, and it's awesome as usual. The poster this year celebrates Preservation Hall and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. If you wanted to get me one of these, I wouldn't be mad...just sayin.

This Dad spends 10 days a month out of town on business, so when he has to leave, his kids give him pictures they’ve drawn. He colors them on the plane and gives the pictures back to them when he gets home. HOW AWESOME ARE THESE?!?!?!?!

This morning as I was heading out the door to come to work, I noticed someone had left me a note by my keys. That someone turns out to be my 6 year old boy Bill. It took me a quick second to figure out what this was all about.

Some people are just able to see things that most people can't. Artists are some of these people. They have an amazing ability to see things exactly as they are, and then duplicate it in art. I, unfortunately am not one of these people. These pictures below are all pencil drawings...
