April 11, 2013 Due to weather concerns, Rhythms on the River has been cancelled for tonight. The show was to feature Mojeaux, one of the best variety/party bands around. Rhythms on the River will try to reschedule the band for a later date.
March 23, 2013 Grammy Award winner Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band kick-off the 2013 Sugar Jam concert series at Sugar Mill Pond tonight. Activities roll from 6pm-9pm.

Today, Wednesday, March 20, 2013 is the first day of Spring! I love this season because it brings more daylight, warmer temperatures and beautiful flowers. Spring is also known as "Spring Equinox" because there is equal amount of day and night. However, there are a couple of downsides to Spring.
One of my favorite times of the year is here- St. Patrick's Day! My dad's side of the family descended from Ireland, so St. Patty's Day is kind of a big deal.
