October 30, 2012 Courtesy GMC Buick in Lafayette has teamed up with Lafayette parish high schools to launch an innovative campaign to award one school with a new SUV valued at over $25,000. Terrain Giveaway will give students the opportunity to sing, dance or cheer their way to winning a 2013 GMC Terrain for their school.
Laura Alaina has had a great year, but in light of her country music success, it's pretty obvious that the 17-year-old star hasn't lost sight of what's important. Although the country songstress is in the middle of her Eighteen Inches Tour, she cleared her calendar recently to surprise Jordan Trunfio -- a West Springfield High School student in Springfield, Va. who is suffering from a brain tumor -- at his Homecoming dance.

The show was fantastic and boy can Eric Church put on one heck of a performance... and he isn't a bad sight to look at either. I do recommend seeing him in concert if you never have. Toronto resident Jason Kroft, his wife and their two young children came to New York city earlier this month to visit Kroft's brother-in-law, Andrew Zeller. Zeller was giving the Canadian family a tour of 30 Rockefeller Plaza when Kroft, who had no history of heart disease, went into cardiac arrest, fell to the ground and stopped breathing.
