As the sun begins to give way to the moon and stars tonight and the smell of good things on the grill fills the air there will be a soundtrack playing. For most of Acadiana that soundtrack is in the form of Acadiana's Largest Cocktail Party, the Classic Country Saturday Night Show.

What makes CCSN such a special show is your request. That's right the entire show is totally made up of request by listeners. We've got a real live disc jockey in the booth and he will spend the night answering  your phone calls, checking the facebook and watching the e-mails to get your suggestions on the air.

Speaking of great memories and suggestions for tonight's show you can't go wrong with either Keith Whitley or Reba McEntire. Both artists celebrate milestones on today's date of May 31.

It was on this date in 1988 RCA Records released Keith Whitley's Don't Close Your Eyes album. The album produced three number one singles for Keith. The title track, Don't Close Your Eyes, the iconic When You Say Nothing At All and I'm No Stranger to the Rain.

For Reba this date holds a special place in history during the year 1986. That was when Reba's hit Whoever's In New England topped the charts at #1. It was Reba's 5th career number one hit. Later that year she went on to claim a Grammy and multiple industry awards from the strength of this hit and the album of the same name.
