Charles Ramsey, the crazy neighbor who has been deemed a hero in the Cleveland kidnapping case, actually has a history of domestic violence.

He was arrested first for beating his wife in February of 1997. He was convicted. But before he was convicted, he was arrested again for domestic violence. He got six months in prison.

In January of 2003 he was arrested yet again for domestic violence. This time his wife divorced him.

All total, for his three arrests, Ramsey spent over a year behind bars.

In the ten years since though, it seems he has atoned a bit for his transgressions. His ex-wife says, they're "on an okay basis."
