Even though Mardi Gras is over, we still have one of the most exciting cities in the world right down I-10. New Orleans is a great little get a way for us here in Acadiana, at any time of the year. Our friends at MSN Travel have some great recommendations of free, or almost free, things to do in the Crescent City. And with spring coming up, these look like so much fun! Some of my favorites are below, but check out the whole list here, and make plans for a little road trip, ya'll!

Take a mini workshop on glass blowing at Glass Works on Magazine St.

Enjoy free music and the legendary Hurricane drink at Pat O'Briens bar in the French Quarter
