Chef John Folse Brings Cajun Cuisine To The Olympics!
How proud are we that one of Louisiana’s own celebrity chefs will be cookin’ up a storm of cajun and creole dishes for our Olympians! Today, Chef John Folse left for the Olympics, where he’s leading a team of eight Gulf Coast chefs as part of BP’s presentation at the US Pavilion during the London games.
Two chefs from each Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida submitted world-class recipes to Chef Folse ranging from alligator gumbo to crabmeat maison. Folse then created volume recipes at his manufacturing company in Donaldsonville, LA. Folse and his staff then shipped the 3,000 pounds – that’s 1.5 tons! – of food to London overnight.
