We drove through Sabal Palms last night, and here are some of the Christmas lights that are up for Lane Begnaud.

Earlier this week, we posted about Lane, a terminally ill cancer patient from Youngsville. Lane's favorite family tradition is to ride around the city to look at the Christmas lights, so his neighbors are decorating their homes early in hopes of giving Lane one more Christmas.

I am hoping that more residents of Sabal Palms notice what their neighbors are doing, and join in on this gift to Lane and his family.

There are many things going on in this world, on the national stage, and even on the state level, that makes me shake my head and wonder how civilization has survived. And then, when I take a look really close to home, someone does something that hits really close to home. Home is where the heart is, and there is definitely a lot of heart in Acadiana.
