If you watch ABC's 'Nashville', then you saw in last night's episode that actress Clare Bowen, who plays Scarlett O'Connor, chopped off her beautiful, long, luscious locks. No doubt a lot of folks were saying WTH, but she did it for a very good reason - she's a childhood cancer survivor, and wanted to say 'Hair is not what makes you beautiful.'

In a beautiful impassioned Facebook post today, she explains why she did it, and what happened when she was a 4 year old diagnosed with end stage nephroblastoma. It is a bold statement on judging people by their looks, and  what's truly important in life. She also thanks ABC and producers of the show for letting her change her characters appearance so drastically.

Read her post, and be inspired. I love her even more after this. God Bless you for using your fame to help others, Ms Bowen!
