Much Colder Weather Is On It’s Way To Acadiana

If you like winter weather, get ready. According to Rob Perillo of KATC-TV 3, Acadiana could get it's first round of freezing temperatures later next week.

Next Thursday and Friday night temperatures will dip below freezing for the first time this winter. We can expect temperatures to be in the upper-20s both Thursday and Friday night.

There isn't any concern for snow or sleet yet, but things can always change when you're forecasting the weather in south Louisiana.

We'll continue to monitor things here and let you know of any changes as we move into the later part of next week.

Take this week to check your heaters and remember it's always a good idea to change the batteries in your smoke detectors during this time of the year.
