Comeaux High School Gets New Principal

She has been working as an educator in South Louisiana since 1984. She has been an educator,coach, and administrator at Ovey Comeaux High School in Lafayette since 1987. Yesterday Mary Sonnier was elevated to the position of principal at the school.

Ms Sonnier will be replacing Joe Craig in the principal's office. Mr. Craig has moved into a new administrative position under new Lafayette Parish Superintendent of Schools Donald Aguillard. Mr. Craig will become the Chief Administrative Officer for the Superintendent's Office.

Mary Sonnier touted her experience as interim principal plus her years of experience in education, special education, and administration in applying for the head position at Comeaux High School.
