Breaux Bridge-based company Comeaux's Inc. is recalling 14 pounds of pork products that may have been contaminated by listeria.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food and Safety Inspection Service, the smoked pork tasso was packaged on December 22, 2015.

Comeaux's one-pound vacuum-sealed packages containing diced "Cajun Hickory Smoked Pork Tasso" are being recalled. The items were shipped to retail locations in Louisiana.

The potential problem was discovered during routine FSIS testing. The good news though is that there has not been any confirmed reports of adverse reactions to consumption of the product.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
