The annual Creole Zydeco and Okra Festival will be held in St Martinville on Friday, May 23, and Saturday, May 24 at the Festival grounds on Bayou Teche. This fun event is sponsored by the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary Council Court #54, and the African American Museum. In addition to delicious cajun and creole cuisine, there will be arts and crafts, and great entertainment, including Grammy Award winner Chubby Carriere and the Bayou Swamp Band, both days. The Okra Cook Off will take place on Saturday morning, so make plans to attend with the whole family!!
