Crowley Schools On Lockdown, Police Search For Suspect

Crowley Police have asked that four schools be placed under a lockdown while they search for a wanted suspect in a wooded area.

The schools under lockdown are Crowley Middle, Ross Head Start, North Crowley Elementary, and Ross Elementary.

Police are searching for a suspect that they believe was involved in a shooting last night.

According to our media partners at KATC, police are looking for a shooting suspect near Kathy Meadows Apartments. Schools in the area were advised to lock down until further notice. Use caution in area." Chief K.P. Gibson says as a precaution, schools within a 1/2 hour radius of a wooded area where the search is happening are being locked down.

Anyone around the Kathy Apartment Complex is asked to stay indoors as the search continues. And if you see any suspicious person in the area, please call the Crowley Police Department immediately.
