A cub scout troop in San Diego went on a hike a couple of weeks ago. Nothing out of the ordinary there...oh, except they ended up at a nude beach!

Scout leader Desmond Wheatley led the boys on a hike through a state park on January 24th that took them on a trail straight to said nude beach.

The boys are only nine and ten years old so naturally the parents were outraged that their young sons were face-to-face with regions of the human body that kids their age ought not be seeing en masse.

One mother confronted Desmond and his reply? Wait for it. He told her this: "My family and I go through here all the time, it's not a big deal."

Wow!

However, the Cub Scouts sided with the scout leader. They released the following statement:

During a planned hiking trip at Torrey Pines State Beach, a local Cub Scout Pack encountered some individuals who were inappropriately dressed. This outing, involving both parents and adult volunteer leaders, was quickly rerouted to protect the youth. Following the trip, both San Diego-Imperial Council and Pack leadership met with parents to discuss the events and determine if further action was needed. Together we concluded that proper protocol had been observed and appropriate steps were taken in this matter.
