CYT To Host Evening With An Encore

I do love live theater. As someone who does a live show on the radio every weekday I can empathize with actors young and old as they attempt to tell a story in front of a live audience. When the spotlights are on you never know what could happen and that makes it all the more challenging.

One of the more accomplished theater groups in the Acadiana area is Christian Youth Theater. Speaking with full disclosure here, my daughter Anna has been involved with CYT for a number of years so I am a little biased. This group of young people takes theater production to new heights as they bring the best of Broadway to the stage with every performance.

On Monday November 2nd you're invited to a very special evening with CYT. The event is called Evening with an Encore. It will be held in the Atchafalaya Ballroom of the Student Union at U.L. The event features a full four course meal prepared by Dark Roux. While that meal might seem like plenty, this is CYT and they always give their audiences a lot more.

The night will also feature selected performances from some of the shows that CYT has recently brought to the stage. You will hear selected performances from The Music Man, Mary Poppins, Cinderella, The Fantasticks, Les Miserables, and more.  As someone who has seen all of these performances let me tell you, be prepared to be blown away.
