People across the country are searching for ways to help in Orlando. Some are donating to funds for families. Others are giving blood. KPEL sent PIZZA!

When Rob and Bernie from NewsTalk 96.5 KPEL (kpel965.com) heard that a fellow "96.5" has been in rolling coverage since Sunday's terror attack, they had to help. NewsRadio 96.5 (news965.com) in Orlando has been on the air continuously, updating the public on the shooting of a former contestant on The Voice, Sunday's terror attack and the toddler who is missing after an alligator attack.

The KPEL staff, who were in this type of live coverage most recently during the Grand Theater shooting, know exactly what it's like to have to watch a story unfold in your own backyard. Reporters get tired and violent details start to run together.

KPEL Brand Manager, Rob Kirkpatrick said, "It's important to take mental breaks when you are covering such a tragic story. News teams often need some cheering up. What better way to cheer them up than with Pizza!"

Rob reached out to the station manager of News 96.5 WDBO, Joe Kelley, to offer a big kudos from Acadiana to the Orlando news team. It was also important to make sure security wouldn't turn away a tasty deliver that was unsolicited in light of the terror attack.

Kudos to you guys in Orlando. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
