Deana Carter tied the knot with her boyfriend, Jim McPhail, in an intimate, private ceremony on July 6. The couple met through mutual friends in 2017, and the couple say that falling in love happened quickly over the past year.

“This is a special time for both of us," the newlyweds shared in a press release. "We are extremely blessed to have met during this season of our lives and blending our families into one happy one."

The ceremony was officiated by Carter's sister-in-law Jessica, and the bride was given away by Jeff Carter, the singer's brother. The private wedding took place at The Pearl Hotel in Rosemary Beach, Fla. Carter wore an elegant, floor-length white halter gown and carried a bouquet of white roses, and McPhail was dressed in a tan blazer with royal blue slacks and no tie. The couple plans to split their time between residences in Los Angeles and Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.

Carter celebrated the 20th anniversary of her album, Did I Shave My Legs for This?by releasing the project on a vinyl for the first time ever last year. The album has sold more than 5 million copies since its release; it includes the hit title track and the popular "Strawberry Wine," which garnered the singer a CMA for single of the year in 1997, as well as a Grammy nomination for best country female vocal performance that same year.

Carter is working in film and television and is also currently on tour. For a complete list of dates, visit her website.
