Delcambre Shrimp Festival Reduces Schedule By Two Days

The 66th Annual Delcambre Shrimp Festival is still on for this weekend but is making some changes to it schedule.

The festival was originally set to begin this Wednesday, August 17th but now will begin on Friday, August 19th. Additionally, the gate fee for Friday and Saturday will be reduced to $5. Sunday will remain a free event.

Family nights for the carnival will be as follows:

• Friday: $20 bracelet (ride all rides) from 6:30pm-11:00pm
• Saturday: $20 bracelet from 12:00pm-4:00pm
• Saturday evening: $25 bracelet from 5:00pm-11:00pm
• Sunday: $20 bracelet from 12:00pm-4:00pm

The music lineup will remain the same.

Friday night's entertainment is highlighted by country artist Doug Stone with Mark Chesnutt headlining Saturday night.
