The New Orleans Saints continue to shake things up after a dismal 2014. Sean Payton may be trying to turn back the clock a bit in bringing former Oakland Raiders Head Coach Dennis Allen back to the defensive coaching staff.

Allen was a defensive assisstant with the Saints from 2006-10 before taking the Defensive Coordinator position with Denver in 2011 and a hear later he landed a Head Coaching job with Oakland.  Allen was part of the Saints coaching staff during the 2009 Super Bowl Championship season.

ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported that Allen will return to New Orleans as a senior defensive assisstant under Coordinator Rob Ryan.

Since the end of the 2014 season the Saints have reportedly cut ties with with several coaches including receivers coach Henry Ellard, tight ends coach Terry Malone and assisstant defensive backs coach Andre Curtis.  None of those moves, nor the return of Rob Ryan as Defensive Coordinator have been officially confirmed by the Saints front office.

General Manager Mickey Loomis and Head Coach Sean Payton are expected to be in Mobile, Alabama this week for the Senior Bowl and may address the media then about the coaching changes.
