Congratulations are in order for Dierks Bentley, who just notched an impressive sixth career number one single with ‘Am I the Only One.’

The song, which ended the chart-topping reign of Lady Antebellum’s ‘Just a Kiss,’ is the first single from Bentley’s upcoming seventh album, titled ‘Diamonds.’

“‘Am I The Only One’ has been the perfect bridge between the ‘Ridge’ album and my next project,” said Bentley. “I wanted to give radio and fans a fun party song to set the tone for summer, and I am so grateful that they helped take it all the way to number one. Now we’re ready to start peeling back more layers of the new album!”

‘Diamonds’ follows Bentley’s bluegrass project, ‘Up on the Ridge,’ which earned multiple Grammy nominations, but failed to spin off any major hit singles. ‘Am I the Only One’ reflects what Bentley referred to in an interview as wanting to “be back on [radio] and I wanted my fans to hear our stuff. I wanted to come back with a song that was fun for fans and fun for country radio and fun for us to play every night.”
