I'm one of the goofballs you wake up to every morning. I've been part of the 97.3 The Dawg family for close to 20 years now! Of course you can hear me and Bruce every weekday morning from 5am-10am. When I'm not slaving away trying not to sprain a finger pushing buttons here at the station, I love spending time with my beautiful bride and amazing son. I'm a huge sports fan and I actually still play baseball in my free time for a local adult league that I help run
I'm a proud Ragin Cajun! I graduated from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette in Broadcast Communications. I worked at KLFY TV 10 in Lafayette for 11 years, but found my true love in radio, and country music, here at 97.3 the Dawg. I also worked for the famous WSM AM home of the Grand Ole Opry, in Nashville for 4 years. I'm the Afternoon Drive Air Personality, and love to bring you all the info you need to know about our wonderful community every afternoon from 3p-7p!
Sam Alex has worked for country stations across the nation and never misses his favorite acts when they come to town. He's been on red carpets for many different awards shows and interviewed some of your favorite celebrities, like Will Ferrell and Taylor Swift. Originally from Chicago, Sam now lives in Nashville, where he hosts the Taste of Country Nights radio show, a syndicated night show which airs on more than 75 stations nationwide. If you ever see him on lower Broadway, get him a pina colada and some BBQ chicken pizza
My name is Bruce MIkells and I do the morning show here at 97.3 The Dawg. Besides waking up with you some of the things I enjoy most are reading those long receipts from the drug store, making ceramic statues of cheese, and folding fitted sheets. I have made guest appearances on Happy Days, McMillan and Wife, and Rescue 911. In each case I played a dead body.
CCUSA host Lon Helton was named the National Air Personality of the Year by the Country Music Association in 2002 and 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. He won the same award from the Academy of Country Music in 2009. In 2006, Lon was inducted into the Country DJ Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee.
I am incredibly blessed that the fine folks at TSM allow me to do what I enjoy every day. I am married to my high school sweetheart, and he still makes me feel like the prettiest girl in the room (even though I wake up looking like a troll!). I adore him, our three children, and our grand-daughter who calls me "Gigi." I love the beach and spending quiet weekends with my husband at home listening to great country music! I cut my teeth back in the day on Randy Travis, George Strait, The Judds, Reba, and Garth Brooks
Hey, all! I'm Ian Auzenne, the weekend guy. I'm a graduate of Beau Chêne High School and Princeton University. In addition to playing Acadiana's best country, I also work in local TV, dabble in sports broadcasting, officiate high school and recreational volleyball and softball. When I'm not working, I (attempt to) play tennis and bowl. I enjoy all types of music and love discovering new sounds. It's a pleasure having you with me every weekend, and I hope you keep tuning in
My parents named me Rob but around the station they call me Winky Dinky Dawg. No idea why, but as I've learned the hard way, you can't pick your own nicknames. I'm originally from New Orleans but but don't hold that against me. I've been a resident of Acadiana since 1992 and love living here. I have two kids and serve as their dad, cook, counselor, but most of the time their maid. I have been hanging around the station for many years. I started as the unofficial mascot of Bruce & Jude, but I'm really excited now that I get to share some weekends with you. N
I've got your workdays covered 10am to 3pm here on 97.3 The Dawg. I've been described as a "hot mess on a cold night". Tune in and you'll hear why. Born in Metairie, grew up in Alexandria, but I've spent over half of my life here in Lafayette. The best things about me are my incredible wife and three amazing kids. I still can't figure out how I've become lucky enough to be a part of their lives. I've always been fascinated with music in a way that's hard for me to define with words
