As you probably know if you listen to the show, I'm from the big ole town of Breaux Bridge and I've been here at 97.3 The Dawg in various capacities since 1997. I'm happily married to the lovely Ms. Alli and we have one handsome (and way smarter than his Dad) son - Hayden. I enjoy being a "registered" Cajun and am proud to have called Acadiana home all my life. I really am a huge country music fan and to me there's nothing better than live music
I'm a proud Ragin Cajun -1980 Graduate University of Louisiana Lafayette in Broadcast Communications. I worked at KLFY TV 10 for 11 years, but found my true love in radio, and country music, here at 97.3 the Dawg. I also worked for the most famous radio station in history - WSM AM - home of the Grand Ole Opry- in Nashville for 4 years. I'm the Music Director and Afternoon Drive Air Personality at the NUMBER ONE country radio station in Lafayette, La- 97
Sam Alex has always been a big fan of country music -- he's worked for country stations across the nation and never misses his favorite acts when they come to town. He's been on red carpets for many different awards shows and interviewed some of your favorite celebrities, like Will Ferrell and Taylor Swift. Originally from the Chicago area, Sam now lives in Nashville, where he hosts the Taste of Country Nights radio show. If you ever see him on lower Broadway, get him a pina colada and some BBQ chicken pizza
Well hey there! You may hear me overnights during the week with my quite different personality. I am quite goofy and giggly, but very random. I love to laugh! Kind of a free spirit. I like to keep you guessing what I'm going to say next. I am a Ragin' Cajun 100%, I'm a tad bit in love with Brantley Gilbert and Thomas Rhett (secretly), and I love meeting new people. So don't be shy! I am from the very small town of Crowley, but I call 97.3 The Dawg my home
Hey, all! I'm Ian Auzenne, the weekend guy. I'm a graduate of Beau Chêne High School and Princeton University. In addition to playing Acadiana's best country, I also work in local TV, dabble in sports broadcasting, officiate high school and recreational volleyball and softball. When I'm not working, I (attempt to) play tennis and bowl. I enjoy all types of music and love discovering new sounds. It's a pleasure having you with me every weekend, and I hope you keep tuning in
My parents named me Rob but around the station they call me Winky Dinky Dawg. No idea why, but as I've learned the hard way, you can't pick your own nicknames. I'm originally from New Orleans but but don't hold that against me. I've been a resident of Acadiana since 1992 and love living here. I have 2 kids and serve as their dad, cook, maid, counselor, but most of the time their chauffeur. I have been hanging around the station for many years
My name is Bruce MIkells and I do the morning show here at 97.3 The Dawg. In addition to waking up with you for the past 18 years I have a very unusual hobby. I am a wasp rancher. That's right I raise wasps. Not on purpose mind you, they just seem to procreate at my house. You can follow me and the show @973kennelclub. Just for fun, why don't you tweet me about my wasp ranching business, maybe I will make you a winner.
