Dolly Parton Addresses Gay Rumors On ‘Nightline’

I'm not quite sure how this one started, since Dolly Parton has been married to the same man, Carl Dean, for, like, 45 years....but there's been rumors flying forever that Dolly is, in fact, gay. Sometimes I think if you are successful, people are just looking for controversy. Just sayin'.

Dolly set the record straight on "Nightline" on Monday night, as she sat down for an interview to promote her new memoir "Dream More." Parton denied longstanding rumors that she is romantically involved with her childhood friend Judy Ogle, and said she'd discussed the issue with Oprah Winfrey, who's battled a similar rumor surrounding her relationship with friend Gayle King.
