Driver Wrecks 18-wheeler Into Home

An 18-wheeler crashed into a Vermilion Parish home. Fortunately, there were only minor injuries to the driver, and the home was unoccupied.

State Police Troop I spokesman Brooks David tells our news partners at KATC the driver was traveling on Highway 82 when he fell asleep, went through an open field, then crashed into the home.

The driver has been cited for careless operation.
