The stars of Duck Dynasty are so hot these days, even Congress wants them on their team.

According to reports, Willie Robertson, CEO of Buck Commander and Duck Commander and star of the hit TV show Duck Dynasty, is being called on by some key GOP figures to run for Congress.

He would be in line for the 5th Congressional seat, which is currently held by Republican Rodney Alexander, who plans to leave at the end of September to take a position in Governor Bobby Jindal's cabinet.

"My boys want to run Willie Robertson for the seat," a "key outside adviser to House GOP leadership" told the Washington Examiner.

There's no indication, however, that Robertson is remotely interested in running for public office.

By the way, this whole television thing is not working out too badly for the Robertsons in the meantime. It is only the highest rated show in A&E history.

The season four premiere of the show is tonight at 9pm.
