‘Duck Face’ Selfies Are Out, ‘Surprise Face’ Is In

Up until now, the go-to selfie pose has been the "duck face". You know, where you pucker your lips like you're about to kiss someone and then stick them out like a duck.

Good riddance to that stupid trend.

There is a new way to be "cool" and take a selfie. Today's selfies are all about the "surprise face".

The surprise face is pretty simple -- just open your eyes and mouth wide like you just heard something surprising and snap that picture.

So just exactly why is this new trend sweeping the selfie world? It apparently is more flattering than the duck face.

With the a surprise face, your eyes look bigger and better, your little face doesn't wrinkle up when you smile, your lips look fuller and it elongates your face to make it look thinner.
