Early voting for the October 24th Primary Election starts this Saturday October, 10, 2015 and continues through Saturday October 17th. Registered voters can early vote 8:30 am until 6 pm daily except for Sunday October 11th at their local Registrar of Voters Office. Secretary of State Tom Schedler says,

Early voting is a great way to conveniently cast your ballot on your schedule instead of having of having to fit it in on Election Day. Saturdays are always busy for individuals and families and with college football games and hunting season, many voters should think ahead and consider early voting.

Statewide there are more than 1,000 candidate races including all statewide elected officials and legislators. In addition there are four constitutional amendments and 73 propositions in 27 parishes.
