Celebrate Mother Earth on Sunday, April 17 at Vermilionville! The Bayou Vermilion District will hold free activities for Earth Day from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, that will include boat tours, paddling on Petit Bayou, craft and activity stations, a cheese making cooking school, and a free yoga class. Entertainment will be presented throughout the day, by Bonsoir, Catin and Corey Ledet and his Zydeco Band.

There is also an opportunity for you to clean out your closet for the 'Reduce, Reuse, Recycle' clothing swap, where you can trade, or donate items. And the best part about this is, all left over clothing items will be taken to a local charity! And back by popular demand, a free tree will be given out to all visitors as you are leaving Earth Day activities. Local organizations will be on hand with booths set up for info on how to preserve our wonderful natural resources, and how you can support environmental protection right here in Louisiana!

This wonderful event is celebrated in more than 192 countries, so bring the family out for a day of fun on Sunday, April 17th, for the 45th annual Earth Day!
