Trenton, Fla., native Easton Corbin signed his first record deal with Universal Music Group Nashville in 2009 and found success with his debut single, the No. 1 "A Little More Country Than That," and self-titled debut record, released in 2010. Below, the singer recalls to The Boot the first time he heard himself on the radio – and who was there to share the special moment with him.

I was down in Florida, my home. I just got done playing a radio gig for my hometown station, and I was going with my parents, back [in] their car, and it actually came on.

I used to think I would sound different, but you get used to it.
