The Eat Lafayette campaign continues to roll on here in the Hub City and we want you to dine at one of the 73 locally owned restaurants participating.

Eat Lafayette is a celebration of Lafayette's one-of-a-kind dining experiences. So the next time you've got friends or family in town, we want you to remember these unique places in Lafayette.

You ever pass by those places that everyone talks about as the place to go for a good plate lunch, but never stop? (Shame on you! ;) )

I've always considered these places the real jewels of south Louisiana.

I had the great pleasure of dining at one of these places recently -- Earl's Cajun Market on Verot School Rd.

Earl's is indeed a grocery store. But Earl's also specializes in so much more.

Each morning the fine folks at Earl's will serve you a delicious breakfast. That breakfast just may include a little boudin or cracklin, and we all know that is perfectly OK in Cajun country!

Come back for lunch and try one of their hot, delicious plate lunches. You might try their fantastic jambalaya, some brisket, baked chicken or perhaps a little barbecue or seafood.

Your mouth watering yet?

Well, it will be after you watch this video we made from our recent visit to Earl's.
