It has been a whirlwind of a last week for Eunice's Josh Johnson. Shortly after the floods, he penned a song paying homage to his beloved home state and the resiliency of the good people of south Louisiana.

He played the song, "Thicker Than High Water", in a simple video on his Facebook page for the first time and the song immediately resonated with everyone who watched it.

The proof? A week later it has been viewed nearly a quarter of a million times!

The natural progression of the song for Josh was to get it recorded. So earlier this week, local musician and producer Tony Ardoin assisted in putting it all together and the result is what you'll hear at Johnson's website.

Give it a listen and let us know what you think!

(Side note: Josh Johnson has competed the last two years in the 97.3 The Dawg Country Showdown at Cowboy's Night Club.)
