Evangeline Thruway Closure

For our night time drivers this may cause a little bit of delay for you. From our friends at La. DOTD:

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will be closing the right lane of US 90 (the SE Evangeline Thruway) in the westbound direction from University Ave. to Pinhook Rd beginning Monday January 3, 2011 and will last approximately 2 weeks.  The lane will only be closed Monday through Friday nights from 7:00 pm until 7:00 am.  The work being performed during this closure is related to the widening of US 90 from 4 lanes to 6 lanes.  Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes during this work.  The Department regrets any inconvenience caused to the traveling public.
