This will be an evening to remember as Dr. Carson guides us to rediscover the core values
that made this nation a beacon of liberty for the world. Born into poverty and challenged
by low self-esteem, poor grades and a terrible temper, Dr. Carson rose to become a
pre-eminent surgeon and full professor of oncology, neurosurgery, plastic surgery and
pediatrics at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He has been chosen as one of the
nation’s foremost physicians, earning numerous honors, including the
Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Bush in 2008.
His life has been chronicled in the award winning film based on his memoir
“Gifted Hands:The Ben Carson Story” starring Cuba Gooding, Jr. Dr. Carson’s message is
uplifting and inspiring - a call to restore our nation to greatness — and goodness.
