The Inaugural Fraternal Order of Police School Safety Officer Car Show/Shine & Show/Jambalaya Cook-off is set for Saturday, April 18th at Cajun Field from 10am to 2pm.

The event is admission free and all in benefit of Hearts of Hoope (Sexual Assault Response Center) & Lafayette Police Department Explorer Program.

The car show categories are: modern: 0-29 YOA, classic: 30-49 YOA, antique: 50+ YOA, muscle/hot rod, custom. $30 entry fee and awards given for each category.

The jambalaya cook-off will be chicken and sausage, $5 per person to eat/judge, $30 entry fee. There will be a people's choice award.

The shine and show is for those just wanting to polish it up and show it off; $15 entry fee.

There will also be a 'For Sale Corral' for those looking to shine, show it, and sell it. There is a $10 entry fee for the corral.

Entry deadline is March 31st.
