Live from the Writer's Room is an inaugural, private concert event with some of Nashville's most successful songwriters and the stories behind their hits.
The event it set for August 28th at the Moncus Theatre at the Acadiana Center for the Arts. The show is unrehearsed and unscripted, with five songwriters and sharing their journey in an acoustic setting.
The show will feature:
- Brett James (Carrie Underwood's 'Jesus Take the Wheel' & 'Something in the Water')
- Danny Myrick (Jason Aldean's 'She's Country' & Tim McGraw's 'Truck Ya')
- Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith's 'Jaded' & Gavin Rossdale's 'Love Remains the Same')
- Kent Blazy (Garth Brooks' 'If Tomorrow Never Comes', 'Ain't Going Down Til the Sun Comes Up' & "Somewhere Other Than the Night')
- Karen Waldrup ('Trashy Crashed My Party')
The VIP party will take place on August 27th at the Grouse Room in Parc Lafayette.
