Opelousas Children’s Christmas Parade

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Be sure to bring the kiddos to the Opelousas Christmas Parade Thursday, December 12, 2013 through downtown Opelousas. The entire family will enjoy the colorfully lit floats, high school marching bands, loveable cartoon characters, and of course Santa Claus!

The parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the parking lot of St. Landry Catholic Church on North Main Street and will roll south through historic downtown Opelousas ending on Creswell Lane. To enter the parade, the fee is $25 for cars and trucks, $50 for truck/trailers and $75 for 18-wheeler type vehicles. There is no cost for walkers or bicycles. Deadline for parade entry is Monday, Dec. 9, 2013.
