HEADLINER - Dean Dillon began playing the guitar at the age of 7 growing up in Tennessee. His songs starting hitting the charts in 1979 climbing into the top 30 with his first released album. In 1981, “Nobody in His Right Mind Would’ve Left Her” by George Strait ran up the charts to #1. Dean wrote “Tennessee Whiskey” and in 1983, George Jones’ version climbed all the way up to #1. Dean was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2002. Throughout his songwriting career, he has produced award-winning songs for artists such as Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith and Lee Ann Womack. He is most famous for writing over 50 hits for George Strait, such as “Marina del Rey,” “Easy Come Easy Go” and “The Chair.” In 1985, Dean was named Billboard Country Music Artist of the Year. He is a three time Grammy Nominee with 26 Number #1 records. In 2013, BMI gave him the ICON Award and this year (2017) ACM Nominated “Tennessee Whiskey” by Chris Stapleton for Song of the Year!
