Additional Information

Today, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced that U.S. 90 will be reduced to one lane in the westbound direction from University Avenue to Pinhook Road in Lafayette Parish.

While no detour is necessary, motorists are encouraged to use an alternative route. The detour includes LA 89 (Southpark Rd) to LA 182 (Pinhook Rd) to U.S. 90 (Pinhook Rd.)  The work being done during this closure is related to the $20 million project to widen U.S. 90 from four to six lanes from Pinhook to Broussard. Work on this 7.19 mile project began in late April 2010 and is expected to be completed by Fall 2012.

DOTD appreciates your patience and expects you to drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
