The more than three-week manhunt for two escaped prisoners from Clinton Correctional Facility in upstate New York concluded this weekend with both being shot in separate incidents and only one surviving.

Richard Matt was shot to death by law enforcement on Friday in Malone, NY.

Then on Sunday, David Sweat was shot and wounded by a New York State police sergeant on patrol in Constable, NY. The sighting and subsequent shooting occurred about two miles from the Canadian border, officials said. Sweat is reportedly in stable condition.
