Facebook Helps Land One Robbery Suspect In Jail, Other Suspect On The Loose
The power of Facebook lands 17-year-old Joseph Broussard, Jr., a suspect in an armed robbery of a Scott tattoo artist Wednesday night.
According to our news partners at KATC, Broussard and a second person 21-year-old Tyrus "Mookie" Leblanc, went to a home in the 200 block of Haven Loop to get tattoos, when they allegedly pulled out handguns on the victim and stole the victim's tattoo machine and other items.
Deputies say the victim recognized Broussard and showed them his Facebook profile. Deputies also say Broussard's phone showed incriminating evidence against him as well. He was arrested and is now behind bars. But Tyrus "Mookie" Leblanc is still at large. If you know where he is, call the Lafayette Sheriff's Office or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
