We all seem to enjoy looking in on friends, family, and people we think we know via the social media site Facebook. A lot of times it can be good fun. However, Facebook is becoming more and more of a platform for the depraved and socially unstable.

While Facebook does have some redeeming qualities they are being overshadowed by evil.  That open platform for instant worldwide fame really seems to be catching on with those who view societal norms differently than you or I might.

One of the big stories you'll be hearing about today is the cold-blooded murder of an innocent man that was broadcast live around the world via the Facebook live feature.

Just last week we heard of a "prank" that involved a young man being stood up by "18 friends for the prom". That shenanigans exploded on social media and some of the comments were more disturbing than the actual prank. Harmless fun right?  It wasn't. It isn't. To make matters worse Facebook is perpetuating the sickness that we all used to hide instead of sharing in the light of day.

Harmless fun right?  It wasn't. It isn't. To make matters worse Facebook is perpetuating the sickness that we all used to hide instead of sharing in the light of day. Everyday people intentionally and unintentionally are becoming, Facebook famous. Often this is done at the expense of others and basic decency.

Is Facebook the world's largest hate group? It certainly seems that it can be.

Stop me if you've heard this before. Hundreds of people commenting on a story that they haven't read or bothered to find out the facts. Many of those comments veering way off the subject at hand moving into the very personal level. Are we really that sick that the only way we can feel good about ourselves is to stop to these less than acceptable behaviors?

Every day lives are changed, or ruined, or ended because of this social disease called social media. You'd think we would be able to control ourselves but we can't. Well some of us can't.

So, we will make Facebook the villain and publicly decry that Facebook has to "do something".  Let's hope they, Facebook, are able to do something. If they don't then the government and legions of grandstanding politicians will. Now, that's a scary thought.
